One Day Emma Came Home And Asked Her Mother

One afternoon, Emma walked into the house looking serious. She found her mom, Sarah, in the kitchen and said softly, “Can we talk… just the two of us?”

Sensing something was off, Sarah nodded, and they sat down at the table.

Emma took a deep breath, hesitated for a moment, then said, “Mom… I’m pregnant.”

Sarah froze. Her eyes went wide, and her mouth dropped open. “What?! How—how did this happen?!”

Emma shifted uncomfortably. “It was during a school project…”

“A school project?!” Sarah repeated, completely stunned.

“Yes,” Emma continued nervously. “For our Life Orientation class. We were learning about how life begins, and we were, well… experimenting with it in a more hands-on way.”

Sarah held her head in her hands. “Oh dear… okay. But who’s the father? We need to call him—his parents should know too!”

Emma looked down, clearly embarrassed. “That’s the thing, Mom… it was a group project.”
