In her new book, “No Going Back,” South Dakota Gov. Kristi Noem suggests that President Joe Biden’s dog, Commander, should face a fate similar to the working dog she once shot on her farm.
Noem lists removing Commander from the White House as a top priority if she were to become president in 2025. She mentions that her own dog, Foster, would be welcome at the Capitol, as he is friendly with everyone.
Commander, the Biden family’s German shepherd, reportedly bit Secret Service personnel in 24 separate incidents, leading to his removal from the White House last October.
During an appearance on CBS’ “Face the Nation,” Noem questioned how many people Commander needed to attack before a decision was made about his future. When asked if she was suggesting Commander should be shot, Noem emphasized accountability for the president regarding the dog’s behavior.
