A kind stray dog and her two puppies are now safe and cared for at the Beylikduzu Alfa Veterinary Clinic in Istanbul, Turkey. Their journey to safety is an emotional story that’s touching people everywhere, all because of a mother’s love.
It all started earlier this week when a Good Samaritan brought a sick puppy to the clinic. The puppy was found on the street, and the clinic staff quickly started taking care of it. At that moment, they didn’t realize that this would be just the beginning of a remarkable story.
Soon after, the puppy’s mother appeared at the clinic’s door, carrying another sick puppy. The staff was surprised when they saw her. “We thought the puppy was dead at first,” said veterinarian Baturay OÄŸan. “But when we checked, we saw that its heart was beating slowly.” The staff began treating the second puppy while the mother stayed close by, watching over her baby.
OÄŸan believes that the mother had given birth to the puppies weeks earlier but had been separated from them when someone took her to be spayed. Without their mom, the puppies became cold and sick. The mother dog followed the Good Samaritan, hoping for help for her other puppy.
Sadly, the mother later arrived with a third puppy who couldn’t be saved. But her devotion to her little ones didn’t go unnoticed. Thanks to the love and care from the clinic, the surviving puppies and their mother are doing well now.
“Their health is good now,” OÄŸan shared. “The mother is still weak, but we are feeding her and caring for her.” The mother dog and her puppies are now staying safely at the clinic, and they will never have to face the world alone again.
